Competitive Video Games

Ever since the first, first person shooter games came out people became competing over video games. I remember playing 007 Golden Eye for Nintendo 64 with friends when I was younger. Years later the first halo game came out, which really picked up the world of competitive gaming.
Based in the future, fighting with human and alien weapons to either kill the opposite team or to complete objectives. As the years went by halo 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out competitive gaming reach a new peak.
Playing halo online against other people I thought I was pretty good, but last year my brothers old roommate plays halo professionally in tournaments by company called Major League Gaming, MLG for short. Since then I've become more involved in whats going on in competitive gaming. We play a lot together and just watching him play I could tell that being really good at a video game can led you to into a life were beating other people in a video is what you do for a living. The top 2 halo players in the world are twins from Ohio. They play every day to get better then the competition.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a total different game, its based on real army weapons. It all types of weapons from grenades to sniper rifles. Its sort of like halo, how you have to kill to the oppisite team or to complete the objective. However the game play is totally different, its like real life warfare. All though if your good at halo then your just as good in call of duty. Competitive gaming just hit its all time high in the past couple of years
